The Kultura Enter, a Poland-based e-zine, announced a Call for Papers for a special issue tiled "Power of Provinces" on local cultures.

Interested journalists, culture experts, anthropologists as well as other interested parties are invited to submitted their paper proposals in the form of an abstract (up to 1500 characters) until 14 June to redakcja@kulturaenter.pl

The categories and oppositions suggested include activity vs. passivity, the local vs. the global, local dialects vs. lingua franca, community vs. disintegration, laws of market vs. informal economy, public space vs. personal space etc.

The selected texts will be published on the site www.kulturaenter.pl and a honoraria of PLN 300 will be provided for the authors of published papers.
