EaP CSF Study on AAs/DCFTAs Implementation in Moldova and Ukraine Presented in Vilnius
In the framework of a project under the new re-granting scheme of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF), the Eastern Europe Studies Centre (EESC), Polissya Foundation for International and Regional Studies (PFIRS) and Foreign Policy Association of Moldova (APE) prepared an analytical study “Economic Challenges of Ukraine and Moldova on the Way to the European Union”.
On December 11, the EESC together with the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Lithuanian Seimas organized the presentation of the study in Vilnius.
In addition to analysing economic situation in Moldova and Ukraine and status quo of implementing Association Agreements with the EU, including Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area agreements, the authors also look into the best EU integration practices of Central Eastern European states to be applied by the Eastern Partnership countries.
During the presentation the introductory remarks were given by Professor Benediktas Juodka, Chairman of the Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs. Experts and implementers of Lithuania’s accession to the EU, including former Prime Minister and current opposition leader of the Seimas Andrius Kubilius, ESTEP partner and director Klaudijus Maniokas, Vilnius University lecturer Dr. Aušra Rauličkytė and Jonas Grinevičius, Director of the Eastern Neighbourhood Policy Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania provided commentaries. The event was moderated by Dalia Bankauskaitė, strategic communication expert, Vilnius University.
The study will also be presented in Ukraine and Moldova.
