EaP CSF to be Represented in the Steering Committee of the EU-Eastern Partnership Culture and Creativity Programme

Six EaP CSF members will represent the Forum in the Steering Committee of the EU-Eastern Partnership Culture and Creativity Programme.EaP CSF will be represented in the Steering Committee of the EU-Eastern Partnership Culture and Creativity Programme.

The Programme supports the cultural and creative sectors’ contribution to sustainable humanitarian, social and economic development in the EaP countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine and it is funded by the European Union, and implemented by a consortium led by the British Council, in partnership with the Soros Foundation Moldova, the National Centre for Culture of Poland and the Goethe-Institut. The Programme is focused on four main areas: research and the development of evidence-gathering mechanisms; capacity-building; raising awareness of the cultural and creative sectors potential role in sustainable social and economic development; providing opportunities for international cultural cooperation.

The representatives of the Programme Steering Committee (PSC) will have the role to provide guidance to the implementing consortium and to the overseeing European Commission desk on the Programme’s implementation. PSC will meet once a year in Brussels or in one of the Programme countries. In 2015, the PSC will meet in Brussels at the end of November, to coincide with the Brussels Culture Forum.
