Azerbaijan National Platform launches project on effective systems of public finance control

The Effective System of Public Finance Control (ESPCF) project aims to increase the effectiveness of monitoring public finance expenditure, as well as to increase awareness and the role of civil society and public at large on the transparent management of spending.

Specific activities of the project include: creation of special section about public finance monitoring on the webpage of ESPCF AzNP, holding forums dedicated to transparent management, conducting interviews, writing of articles in the newspapers, and others. The project will also study the experience of advanced countries and adapt best practices in the sphere of public finance management for Azerbaijan.

This project will serve to minimize risks of inefficient public use of public finance, increase the culture of good governance, raise awareness of budgetary process and its monitoring in Azerbaijan and its regions. It is financed by the European Comission.
