"Nations in Transit 2013" report available

On 19 June 2013 the "Nations in Transit 2013" report has been presented in Brussels by the German Marshall Fund of the United States in Brussels and Freedom House.

The "Nations in Transit 2013" report is a comprehensive and comparative study of democratic development in 29 countries from Europe and Central Asia, including all Eastern Partnership countries, prepared by Freedom House.

The main trends of the 2013 report concerning the Eastern Partnership region are the assault on civil society in Eurasia especially concerning Azerbaijan, Belarus and Russia and raising overall democracy scores for Armenia, Moldova and Georgia. However declines in the sphere of civil society have been noticed in most of the Eurasian countries.
