Policy Brief on French-German Cooperation in Transnistrian Conflict published

An interesting and informative policy brief on French-German cooperation in the Transnistrian conflict has been published by the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) “Viitorul” – a former Forum participant – from Moldova and the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation from Germany. The policy brief was written by Dr. Florent Parmentier from Science Po, Paris and David Rinnert, a Young Professional at the GIZ office in Moldova.

The paper titled “Finding Common Denominators in the Eastern Partnership Region: Towards a Strategic French-German Cooperation in the Transnistrian Conflict” includes a detailed action plan for policymakers of both countries. The proposed renewed conflict resolution initiatives could – according to the authors – serve as a catalyst for overcoming the divisions over neighbourhood policies within the EU in general and improve the situation in the Transnistrian conflict.
