Panel Discussion on "Environmental Challenges of the European Integration"The Secretariat of the Steering Committee of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, the Resource and Analysis Center “Society and Environment”, the Ukrainian National Environmental NGO “MAMA-86” with support of the International Renaissance Foundation are jointly organising a panel discussion on 11 June 2013 on: Environmental challenges of the European Integration: How Ukraine and other EaP countries are adopting EU environmental Standards? on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 16:00 – 17:30 (registration from 15:30 till 16:00) Hotel BLOOM!, Rue Royale 250, 1210 Brussels The Panellists to the discussion are: Anna GOLUBOVSKA-ONISIMOVA, Coordinator of the Working group 3 “Environment, Climate Change and Energy Security” of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum Nataliya ANDRUSEVYCH, Head of the Board of Resource and Analysis Center “Society and Environment” Zoriana MISHCHUK, Executive Director of the UNENGO “MAMA-86”, Coordinator of the Working group 3 “Environment, Climate Change and Energy Security” of the Ukrainian National Platform of EaP CSF Andrzej JANUSZEWSKI, Policy Officer for Ukraine, Directorate General for Environment/E1, European Commission The discussion will be moderated by Viorel URSU, Senior Policy Analyst, Open Society European Policy Institute. The panel discussants will present the public assessment of Ukraine’s implementation of environmental integration priorities, compare these results to performance of other EaP countries and provide recommendations for stakeholders, including EU institutions, on how to accelerate the environmental policy reforms in the region and improve the state of environment eastwards of the EU.
