Strategies for the Future Policy Towards Belarus: International Conference

The German-Belarusian Society (dbg) / Minsk Forum and the Eastern Europe Studies Centre (EESC), under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, are hosting an international conference on “Strategies for the Future Policy towards Belarus”. The official opening of the event on 28th of October will be followed by expert discussions on 29th of October in Vilnius.

The aim of the event in the run-up to the Eastern Partnership summit is to develop different options for the future policy towards Belarus by strategic debate with experts, politicians and representatives of civil society and economy from the EU and Belarus. Among the topics to deal with will be the current state of relations and the perspectives for reform and political dialogue between Belarus and the EU.

Participation at expert discussions on the 29th of October is limited. If you are interested in attending expert discussions, please state your reasons in the registration form.

The panel discussions are going to be held in English and Russian with simultaneous translation. The event is part of the “Minsk Forum Process” (MFP) and is kindly supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, The German Marshall Fund of the United States, the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation for Freedom, the Stefan-Batory-Foundation and other co-operation partners.
