EU Neighbourhood Barometer: Eastern Partnership

A new report covering the results of the fifth wave of the EU Neighbourhood Barometer, carried out in spring 2014, has recently been published by EuropeAid.

The main objective of the report is to assess the current state, and trace the evolution of, public opinion in the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) since Autumn 2012. Drawn from the findings of 6,073 interviews, the study covers public opinion on the general context of living in the Eastern neighbourhood, trust in international institutions and perceptions of the EU.

A weighted average is presented for the six Eastern Partnership countries, which is analysed on a country-by-country basis and is compared with the results of the Russian Federation.

The European Neighbourhood Barometer is part of an EU-funded project entitled “ENPI Regional Communication Programme 2011-2014: opinion polling and media monitoring” initiated on behalf of the European Commission’s Development and Cooperation Office, EuropeAid.
