Call for applications: Eastern Partnership Young Leaders Forum in Brussels

The European Parliament has launched the “Young Leaders Forum: Eastern Partnership-EU”, a new initiative which will take place in Brussels on 8-11 December 2014.

The aim of the forum is to support young leaders from the EU and Eastern Partnership countries in the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy by building trust, mutual understanding and encouraging civil society action. The forum is based on the successful experience of a similar forum for the EU’s Southern Neighbourhood.

“Civil society lies at the heart of the EU’s Eastern Partnership, and yet, often the youth have to struggle hard to be recognized as actors of change, to participate in public life and to take forward democratic developments” read the description of the event.

The deadline for applications is October 10. Individuals from the fields of politics, business, academia or civil society, aged 20-35, from the EU and Eastern Partnership countries, are eligible to apply.
