The EaP CSF Steering Committee calls for signing the EU-Ukraine Association AgreementTagged under Steering Committee The Steering Committee (SC) of the EaP CSF sees the signature of the Association Agreement (AA) with Ukraine in 2013 as a breakthrough which will open the way to irreversible changes in Eastern Europe. The year 2013 will be crucial for these changes and the launching of new contractual relations between the EU and the most advanced EaP countries. The SC therefore supports the signing of the AA between the EU and Ukraine at the Vilnius Summit and calls on the Ukrainian government to take steps to meet the requirements listed in the Foreign Affairs Council Conclusions of 10 December 2012. Any substantial delay in the AA process could derail the entire EaP policy and the SC considers the political risks of a failure to sign the AA much higher than the aggregated risk of signing the agreement.
