Meeting of WG1 on 14 May 2013

Working Group 1 will conduct its annual meeting in Brussels on 14 May. Please find the final agenda of the meeting here.

In the framework of this meeting a discussion on "The European Endowment for Democracy - a driver for change?" will be organised. The panel will look at the European Endowment for Democracy (EED), a new institution, which aims to promote democracy in the EU neighbourhood. It will examine the methods which the EED will be using and look at the role which non-governmental organisations might play in building a democratic culture in states which are in transition from authoritarian regimes.

Mr Edward McMillan-Scott, Head of the European Parliament Democracy Caucus

Ms Orysia Lutsevych, Independent Analyst, Chatham House Robert Bosch Fellow (2012)
