CSF Working Group 3 “Environment, climate change and energy security” assesses the progress of EaP countries in good environmental governance

Working Group 3 of the EaP CSF prepared the report “Towards Good Environmental Governance in the Eastern Partnership Countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine” which assesses the environmental performance of these countries according to the priorities of the Eastern Partnership Flagship Initiative on Environmental Governance.

The report provides a detailed overview of the implementation of the Flagship Initiative and assesses progress in seven areas:

Strengthening cooperation with the European Union
Strengthening administrative structures and procedures
Developing strategies, plans and programmes on environmental protection
Ensuring integration of environmental issues in other policy areas (promotion of sustainable development)
Strengthening structures and procedures to conduct environmental impact assessment
Improving access to information and public participation
Cooperation in the area of development of the Shared Environmental Information System (SEIS)

The report includes detailed assessment tables, conclusions and recommendations.
